1. Data Policy update. From the 212 sites in FLUNXET2015, 206 sites are now sharing data under a Creative Commons CC-BY-4.0 data usage license. Six sites could not be converted to the new policy and were kept or moved to Tier Two policy: RU-Sam, RU-SkP, RU-Tks, RU-Vrk, SE-St1, and ZA-Kru. See the data policy page for more details.
2. New metadata. New BADM metadata was collected and added to this release for all 206 sites that moved to the new CC-BY-4.0 data policy: canopy height, variable information (height and model for IRGA and Sonic Anemometers; depths for soil temperature and soil water content sensors; and variable units for all temporal resolutions of the FLUXNET2015 Dataset: HH, DD, WW, MM, YY). All BADM metadata, including these new variable, can be downloaded with the BADM BIF file included with all downloads.
3. Quality flags bug fix. All sites were updated with a new processing code version (v4) resolving the bug affecting Latent and Sensible Heat flux quality control variables (LE_F_MDS_QC and H_F_MDS_QC) which required use of patch file — patch file is still available but not longer required, all variables were updated (see known issues for November 2016 release for details).
4. Site IDs changes. Five sites had their site IDs changed to reflect the adoption of the ISO-3611-2 standard for determining country codes for FLUXNET site IDs. See more details in the known issues page for this February 2020 release.

Explanation:

The data from the DK-ZaF site have been removed from the December 2015 release of the FLUXNET2015 data product after the PI discovered an error in the anemometer data acquisition that could have a strong effect on the fluxes. The PI is working to solve the problem and will try to submit the corrected data in time for the next release.
