Map Display Settings

Build Custom FLUXNET Site Maps
1. Configure the map by choosing the three bars below.
a. "Configuration" - choose the map title and the overlay you want sites shown on
b. "Sites" - pick the sites to display on the map or check "All" for all sites
c. "Markers" - choose the site markers for the map. A "Property" of "None" will mark all the selected sites with the Marker chosen. Choose a "Property" other than "None" to define rules for multiple marker selection. Use "Add Rule" to add multiple rules (For example, "Property" = "Start Year", "Rule" = "Less Than" "Value" = 2000, "Rule" = "Between" "Value" = 2000 "Value" = 2010, and "Rule" = "Greater Than" "Value" = 2010 will allow different markers for sites by "Start Year" in roughly 10 year increments). Sites with values in unspecified ranges will not be displayed unless you also create a rule of "Unspecified". The first rule that matches will be utilized to display the marker.
2. Configure whether you want the legends for the overlay map and markers to show using the check boxes in each bar.
3. Use the Submit button to see the configured map. Navigate/zoom the map using the usual Google Map controls.
4. Move the legends and logos around on the screen to where you want them in the final image
5. Save the custom map by using the screen capture feature in your browser.
6. To reconfigure the map, click on the Settings button (or map title if you have set the map title).
7. Send any feedback on this feature to [email protected]
