The easiest and most scenic way to get to the UQ campus is by the CityCat ferry system. Ferries pick up along the Brisbane River and drop off passengers at the UQ St. Lucia Ferry Terminal, which is ~15 minute walk to the ModWest meeting building.
Thus, we recommend you stay anywhere close to a citycat terminal and get off at the UQ St Lucia ferry terminal. For example, the South Bank ferry terminal is near many hotels, and is about a 23 minute ferry ride to UQ St Lucia. Alternatively, the city also has a bus system that you can use (more information here).
