DOE is funding the continuation of the global Fluxnet project. We are working with computer scientists at Lawrence Berkeley (Deb Agarwal) and University of Virginia (Marty Humphrey) to modernize the web site, produce and distribute new standardized flux datasets (with Dario Papale, University of Tuscia and ICOS), Gilberto Pastorello and Cristina Poindexter, LBL, and associated ancillary data.
We aim to extend the duration of the datasets, have more site characteristics and more towers. The goal and hope is to distribute and share data world wide with an extended body of data that will nearly double the size of the 2007 La Thuile dataset.
New newsletters will resume and we aim to hire a postdoc this fall.
